Why Out-Patient Only?

In order to maximize the time available for patients to be seen in the office, Dr. Nisbet choose to focus strictly on the outpatient care of her patients.  No longer will her patients have to wait a month or more for an office appointment after being discharged from the hospital.  Experience has shown her that patients who are able to be seen quickly in the office following a hospital discharge tend to have a greatly reduced readmission rate than those who are forced to wait for an office followup by a specialist.

Q:  But who will see me in the hospital if I have to be admitted?

A:  You would be admitted by either the hospitalist or the specialist on call at the hospital you go to.  Dr. Nisbet would be available to discuss your care with the admitting physician but while in the hospital you would be under their care.
